Pokémon White Version Wedlocke Lite Part 13: Backstory Revealed!

I'm back! Time to explore the Relic Castle for the Dark Stone. I'm keeping Max Repels in effect so I don't use my encounter yet.

I had almost forgotten you could get a fossil here. I can't remember off the top of my head whether you count the location you receive the fossil as the encounter location, or the place where you get it revived. I'll look it up later, but I still used Max Repels for the rest of my time in here. I decided to go with the Plume Fossil because even though I usually prefer Tirtouga to Archen, I've already captured more Water types than Flying types.

Anyway, after some exploring I found Ryoku of the Seven Sages and a bunch of Plasma grunts to battle.

And finally, Ghetsis. But apparently the Dark Stone isn't here... So what was the point of this again? Anyway, it seems next on the list is to have a bunch of us convene in front of the Nacrene City Museum to discuss our next move. I feel like some kind of super hero or special agent.

Quick pit stop because the GameStop Meloetta event is going on and I wanted to pick one up while I had the chance. It's technically not a legal capture since it's an out-of-game gift and it's genderless, but I have a special box for Pokémon I'm not going to use (i.e. Zekrom and any shinies I may find), so I can put it in there and trade it to another game after I'm done with the story in this game.

Anyway, back to business. A bunch of us talk about the situation, and it turns out the Dark Stone was in the Nacrene Museum the whole time. What a twist! It looks like the only thing we can do is try to defeat N. Since he's headed to the Pokémon League, that means I have to head to Opelucid City to earn my final Badge.

Off to Route 8 from Icirrus City...

But wait! Bianca wants a battle! ...How did she catch up to me so quickly??? Take a look at her team, she doesn't have any Pokémon that can learn Fly. Creepy...

Now for Tubeline Bridge! Nothing much of interest until I got about 90% across the bridge, after which the Shadow Triad appeared and took me the remaining stretch of the way to face Ghetsis. (Seriously, why do they love to take me across bridges so much?) Ghetsis announced something about N being unstoppable, or whatever. Blah, blah, blah, just let me continue with my mission to defeat you guys.

With that done, I reached Route 9 on the other side of the bridge. After battling all the trainers on the route and doing some shopping at Shopping Mall Nine, I ventured into the tall grass to find my encounter for this area...

And it's a Garbodor... blah. It was hard to come up with a sweet food that would be a fitting name for her, so I decided to be cheeky and go with "Parfait". How delicious!

I arrived in Opelucid City and... it's another dialog cutscene! I appreciate that they're trying to put a deeper story in this game, but when did Pokémon become Final Fantasy?  Well anyway, after some more talking, Alder decided to head back to the Pokémon League to try to defeat N. In the meantime, I had to learn the legend of Reshiram and Zekrom from Drayden and Iris.

All that's left now is to defeat Iris at the Opelucid City Gym so I can head to the Pokémon League myself. I don't think I want to do much more training before the Gym, but I'm thinking of trying a Hail/Blizzard combo to take on the Dragon trainers. In order to do that though I need to earn some more money to buy the TM for Hail at the Mistralton City Pokémon Center. Once I do that I'll pick up where I left off with the next episode. Until next time!
