The plus side of this whole scene is I got to battle N again! This time his team is completely different from before, consisting entirely of Pokémon from Route 4 and the Desert Resort. Scampi and Gingersnap had no problem defeating them.
And... cue random close-up for some reason?
Now for the last of my training, mostly against the weaker Gym trainers. Cornbread reached lv 31 and evolved into an Excadrill! He is part 1 of my strategy against Elesa. He packs the Quick Claw and Rock Slide, and his typing is Ground/Steel. This makes him perfect offensively and defensively against Elesa's two Emolga!
Also, that stat increase... Oh, yes.
For part 2 of my Gym strategy, I trained Gingersnap to lv 32 so she could evolve into Stoutland. She was already my bulkiest Pokémon, but I wanted her to be as bulky as possible to face Elesa's Zebstrika. It's only at lv 27, but I know that Zebstrika can be nasty. For the offensive part of my strategy, I taught Gingersnap Strength and Dig.
Again, check out those nice stat increases...
As one final precaution I gave Gingersnap the Soft Sand to give Dig some extra power.
Now I'm all set to take on Elesa! That will be the start of the next part. So until then, see ya!
